‘Uneconomic
Proposition’
The Lyttelton gas supply account continued to show a substantial loss. the chairman of its finance committee Mr R H Duff told the Lyttelton Borough Council art its meeting last night The gas supply showed a loss of more than £3OOO for 1962-63. “How long can we continue to support what is an uneconomic proposition?" he Cr. Duff said he felt a complete reassessment should be made of the situation “It is obvious we will have to consider something about it.’’ he said. Cr Duff volunteered to attend the next meeting of the council's gas works committee. to see what could be done. I
