Crookenden, the New Zealand Davis Cup player, is among the 118 men accepted for the men's singles event of the Wimbledon lawn tennis championship*, which begin on June 24. it was announced yesterday. Australia and the United States each have 18 men accepted. Another 10 will enter the championships through the qualifying competitions. In the women's singles, the 1962 champion. Mrs Karen Susman (United States), did not enter, nor the 1961 winner. Miss Angela Mortimer, of Britain. Of the women entered. Britain has 20. the United States 13, and Australia eight.
