Taranaki Wins Tourney Final

First-class forward play won Taranaki the final of’the annual North Island Rugby League quadrangular tournament at Rotorua today. Taranaki beat last year’s winner, Waikato. 12-9. in the final.
Yesterday, Taranaki beat Bay of Plenty, 27-14, in the opening round, and Waikato beat Wellington, 5-2. Today, Wellington beat Bay of Plenty, 29-2, and gained the right to stay in the tournament next season. Bay of Plenty will yield its place to Manawatu. add GOLF
