BUS SERVICE TO MILFORD

Continuation In Winter (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. My 29. Bus services would continue all winter through the Homer tunnel to Milford Sound, the secretary of the Southland Progress League <Mr A. S. Alsweiler) said today. He has received this advice from the Railways Road Services. The bus will run from Te Anau to Milford three days a week except when the danger of avalanches stops all traffic. The road will not be closed for months at a time. Although it has remained open in the winter for the last three seasons, the Milford Hotel has had to be served by aircraft only when the road has been closed.
