Police Inquiries Continue

Police inquiries are continuing into the assault on a 76-year-olr'. New Brighton widow who was attacked in her home by a young man lari Saturday night. The attacker is aged 19 or 20, is about sft 7in, with pale complexion and long, dark hair hanging over his face. He was wearing dark clothing, and toe widow said he was of “bodgie” appearance. He probably suffered an injury to his left eye when toe widow was repelling his attack.

The Chief Detective (Mr C. G Evans) said yesterday that toe police had received some information from toe public. Additional information would be welcomed.
