£47,135 Pledged In Deposits (N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, May 7. One hundred and forty-two people have signed £lOO guarantees for the proposed Wanganui Trustee Savings Bank. Deposit pledges worth £47,135 are in hand. These progress scores in the promoters’ drive for £20,000 in guarantees and £200,000 in promised deposits were reported today by Mr E. A. Millward, the committee chairman. The committee has set May 22 as the deadline for attaining the two targets. The Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) will be in the cty then. He has agreed to meet a deputation from the committee.
