Seventeen Sections Bring £24,550

Seventeen sections in tne Waimairi County Council’s Ilam subdivision were sold for £24.550 at public auction last evening. The sections are in Wadeley road and Maidstone road, Fendalton. All the sections offered were sold.

More than 70 persons attended tihe sale. The top price of £2OOO was paid for lot 14. a corner section of 25.5 perches. Lot 15, a section of 24 5 perches on the opposite corner, realised £lB5O, the second highest price. The other sales were:— Lot 1, 24.8 perches, £1300; lot, 2. 25 perches, £1350; lot 3, 24.9 perches, £1375; lot 4. 36 perches, £1350: lot 5, 35.2 perches, £1250: lot 6, 24.1 perches, £1350; lot 9, 25.9 perches, £1500; tot 10, 25.6 perches, £1450; tot 11, 25.9 perches, £1500; tot 12, 25.9 perches, £1375; tot 13, 26 perches. £1300; lot 16, 24 perches, £1325; tot 17. 24 perches. £1300; lot 18, 24 perches. £1425; lot 19, 24 perches. £l6OO. The auctioneer was Mr D. Chapman, of Ford and Hadfield, Ltd., which acted in conjunction with Livingstone and Company, and C. E. Jones, Ltd.
