Mellor, was tonight “seriously ill” in a Liverpool Hospital after a fall during a hurdle race at Aintree today. Mellor, who has “fairly severe” facial and internal injuries, was to have ridden Frenchman’s Cove, a 22-1 chance, in Saturday’s Grand National.
