(NX. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 3. Central Districts were no match for the strong Auckland side in the Wilding Shield provincial tennis fixture, played at the Stanley street courts during the week-end. Auckland’s Davis Cup trio of L. A. Gerrard, L S. Crookenden and J. E. Robson, ably assisted by K. H. Long, comfortably suppressed the challengers. 12-0, without the loss of a set. Results (Auckland names first): I. S. Crookenden beat A. Mills, 6-4, 6-2; beat C. Waugh, 6-4, 6-3. L. A. Gerrard beat C. Waugh, 6-2, 6-4; beat Mills, 6-1, 6-2. K. H. Long beat W. Allison, 6-1, 6-3;-beat D. Ogier, 6-1, 6-0. J. E. Robson beat D. Ogier, 6-3. 6-1; beat W. Allison. Crookenden and Long befit Mills and Allison 6-3, 6-4; beat Ogier and Waugh, 6-1, 6-3. Gerrard and Robson beat Ogier and Waugh 6-0, 6-0; beat Mills and Allison, 6-2, 6-1.
