Results of the seventh round of the firms' night tennis competition played at Opawa recently were:— Hope Gibbons v. New Zealand Farmers (1).—B. Crawford and E. Cormack beat J. Adams and J. Cullington 6-8; R. Watson and Crawford drew with Adams and R. Sandford 8-8; Cormack and Watson beat Sandford and Cullington 7-6. Hope Gibbons won by 2 sets to 0, 1 set drawn. NAC. (2) V. A.N.Z.—A. Murray and B. Bryce beat S. Muir and B. Darling 10-2; Bryce and E. Woods beat Muir and A. Irving 9-4; Murray and Woods lost to Irving and Darling 4-8. N.A.C. (2) won by 2 sets to 1. N.A.C. (2) v. Shell—C. Godfrey and S. Conaghan lost to C. P. Hutchison and N. Herd, 4-7; Godfrey and P. McLean lost to Herd and V. Robinson 6-8; Conaghan and McLean lost to Robinson and Hutchinson 4-9. Shell won by 3 sets to 0. Commercial Upion v. New Zealand Farmers (2). —A. Knight arid J < Lowray beat B. Fisher and J. Douglas 13-2; Knight and Miss A. Woods beat Douglas and D. Ward 7-4; Lowray and Miss Woods beat Ward and Fisher 10-2. Commercial Union won by 3 sets to 0. Anderson and HUI v. R. G. Robinson. H. Hill and A. Leopold lost to R. Blakeley and A. Little 5-8; HiU and A. Hamilton beat R. Tweedy and Blakeley 9-6; Leopold and Hamilton beat Tweedy and Little 12-4. Anderson and Hill won by 2 sets to 1. Dunlop v. Bank of New South Wales (2).—J. Patetborpe and Z. Martin beat R. Quinn and Miss S. Martin 7-4; Martin and K. Kinzett beat D. McCormack and Miss Martin 12-4; Kinzett and Patethorpe beat McCormack and Quinn 8-6. Dunlop won by 3 sets to 0. M. v. Bank of New South Wales.—B. Gowans and B. Graham beat D. Warren and G. Chambers. 8-6; R. Pratley and Graham beat P. Scott and Chambers 7-3; Pratley and Gowans beat Scott and Warren 10-6. M.O.W. won by 3 sets to 0. N. (1) V. Mereers.—A. D. Atkinson and J. Moseley beat A. Skate and J. E. Mercer, 10-3; Atkinson and P. Clayton beat Mercer and R. Shackleton 7-4; Moseley and C. Clayton beat Skate and Shackleton, 11-2. N.A.C. (1) won by 3 sets to 0. Mason Struthers beat Star by default.
