The European Common Market’s balance of payments deficit deteriorated by 1300 m. dollars in 1962, the French vice-presidenit of the community’s executive commission (Mr Robert Matrjolin) told the European Parliament in a report today. His report said member countries’ imports from third countries rose by 9 per cent over the 1961 figures, while their exports outside the market increased by only 2 per cent.
