Drug Restricted, Not Banned
(MX. Preu Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. The use of the drug meclozine was only restricted, not banned. Dr J. T. Murphy. Deputy Director of Public Health, said in Wellington today. “It is confined to medical prescription until evidence for end against it is analysed,’’ hs said, commenting on a report from Christchurch that the drug was banned. “The advice is that it should be used by pregnant women only on prescription and under medical advice,” he said.
