UNION POLL INQUIRY

Irregularities Alleged (NX. Press AMociatton) AUCKLAND, January 11. An application for an inquiry into the election of the aseretery-tCMSurer of the Auckland branch of the North Island Electrical Workers’ Unton has been lodged with the Registrar of Industrial Unions in Wellington. The electton postal ballot closed on November 23 and Mr J. F. Taylor was reelected. He gained 769 votes to the 750 of his opponent. Mr F. Gerbic.

Mr Gerbic is one of 10 persons Who have applied to the Registrar. Mr N. S. Woods, for an inquiry to be held by the Court of Arbitration into irregularities they allege in connexion with the election
