Objection By Steward

. GREYMOUTH. October 12. No action was taken by the Grey District Racing Committee on an objection to first place in the Dalray Handicap, the second leg of the double at Westport on Monday of last week, being awarded to Master Conclusion. The objection was lodged by the stipendiary steward, Mr H B. Lorigan, on the assumption that the horse had passed out of hack ranks before entering tor the race.

The New Zealand Racing Conference edvlsed the committee that the connexions could not be so charged. Master Conclusion won a race at Walrarapa two years ago. before being acquired by his present owner. P K. Ryder of Inchbonnie. but was later disqualified However, the winning stake was not recovered by the club. Nevertheless, in view of the. horse's disqualification it could not be held to have won’’ this amount and It could not be aoded to Its racing earnings. It was held.
