1. Letters sent to ttie Editor tor prinung must be writtea In Ink on one side of the paper only, and writers must send in their names and addresses in full, whether they wish these to be published or not. 2. Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or nave been sent to other papers 3. The Editor cannot return or keep any letter Which for any reason is unsuitable for printing, nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence 4. Letters must not be ot more than ISO words tn length Bring Back Our Labour Party.— The Labour Party has long been virtually unanimous in opposing the death penalty. The National Party is divided on the question. We have no space for another correspondence on the subject.
Expectant Ratepayer. The Christchurch Metropolitan fire Board has Invited 3Bj guests to the official opening of the new Central Fire Station on Friday, August 34. They represent the ratepayers from the whole metropolitan area served by the board. On the morning of Saturday. August 25, the new station and the living quarters will be open for Inspection by the public. On the Saturday morning there will also be a display of firefighting and drill.
