Rubber Union Against By 3 (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. Aug 13 Members of the Wellington District Rubber Workers" Union at meetings todav at Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt decided by three votes against disaffiliation from the Federation of Labour Commenting on the result, the secretary of the union. Mr A. J Neary, said: “The voting on the question is very close so far. but these figures do not finally decide the issue. Approximately another 120 members have vet to vote " Mr Neary said those comprised members at smaller establishments and night shift workers unable to be present at today's meetings All members would be given the right to vote “In view of the interest evinced the only sure method is. to conduct a postal ballot. I feel confident the final voting figure will register the true feelings of the Wellington Rubber Workers' Union members and will demonstrate their entire disagreement with the tactics and actions of the leaders of the FOL."
