Rugby TOUR CHOICE WILL PLAY
Nine Stitches In Injury (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyrioht) SYDNEY. August 1. The Wallabv Rugby forward. R. Heming. said last night he would play on Saturday with nine stitches in his head rather than risk jeopardising his tour of New Zealand. The Australian Rugby Union has directed that all Wallaby players must play on Saturday before they undergo Monday's medical examination. The tourists leave the following day for New Zealand The Australian Rugby Union executive will hold a special meeting next Friday night to discuss Hemlng's position. The injury was caused when Heming was kicked on the head in a club match last Saturday. The Manly club will delay its team selections until after the A.R.U. special meeting. The club secretary. Mr S. Tuck, said last night: "If it it s case of play or miss the tour. Heming will play.”
