New Booklet On Parks
A new 27-page booklet on New Zealand’s national parks has been published by the National Parks Authority, designed as an introduction to the parks, and to supplement the handbooks and maps published on the individual parks themselves. The nine national parks described are Urewera, Tongariro and Egmont in the North Island, and Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes, Arthur’s Pass, Mount Cook, Westland, and Fiordland in the South. The booklet contains photographs of scenic spots in each park, and a historical introduction on the national park movement in New Zealand
