City Man President Mr A. S. Hollander (Christchurch) was elected president of the New Zealand Chess Association at its annual meeting at Dunedin on Saturday. Others officers elected were: Patron, Mr A. W. Gyles (Levin); vice-patrons, Mr W. A. Palmer (Hamilton), Dr. N. E. H. Fulton (Ashburton); chairman of council. Dr. R. Gardner (Dunedin); secre-tary-treasurer, Mr L. Esterman (Dunedin); council members. Messrs R. A. Rasa, W. B. Petre, G. G. Haase (all Dunedin); liaison officer, Mr H. F. Tobar (Wellington); solicitor, Mr W. Lang (Dunedin); auditor, Mr J. F. Lang (Dunedin).
