NEW MEDICAL CENTRE

Plans Approved

Plans for a new medical centre in the area of the old ward 14 at the Christchurch Hospital had been approved by the Health Department, and work would be started on the conversion almost immediately, the secretary of the North Canterbury Hospital Board (Mr J. G. Laurenson) said yesterday. The board’s own employees would do the job, he said. The centre would contain a small and a large lecture room, a clinical demonstration room, and various offices. It was intended that the large lecture room would be ready towards the end of next month.
