Golden Kiwi Lottery
Sir, —The official results of the Golden Kiwi lottery No. 19 published on Monday show that four tickets have drawn two £5 prizes each. Is this a printer’s error, or has each ticket two chances in the £5 draw? If not, four ticketholders are unlucky—l could be one—and Mr McArthur is £2O better off in kitty? I have checked the published £5 prize list and made it 1620. —Yours, etc., TATTS FOR ME. April 10, 1962. [Mr N. McArthur, secretary of Hammond and McArthur. Ltd., licensee of the Golden Kiwi Lottery, said: ‘‘l have to advise that it is possible for one ticket to draw two prizes in the lottery. This has happened in every lot-
tery drawn to date. We are still drawing under the method used in the art unions where each number is drawn separately from different baskets and the same ticket number does come up twice, occasionally. There are 1000 prizes in the tottery, 10 major prizes, 10 ad £lOO, 20 at £5O. 20 at £25, 20 at £2O, 100 at £lO, and 1630 at £s.”].
