Wool Board Offer
“The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. April 5. The Prime Minister’s comment that the primary producer statutory boards had refused to be associated in any way with the new Trade Promotion Council "hardly does u« justice.” the chairman of the Wool Board (Mr J. Acland) said yesterday. Addressing the electoral committee of the board he said: “We did -in fact make an open-handed offer of assistance.
“Over the years the Wool Board has gained a great deal of experience in promotion overseas. If this experience is of any help to the new council we shall be only too ready to pass it on.” he said.
