Brisbane Davis Cup Round

(N Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BRISBANE. March 7. Seats for this year’s Davis Cup challenge round in Brisbane are already selling at the rate of more than 70 a day

The challenge round will be played at the Milton Courts at the end of December Australia beat Italy in the 1961 challenge round at Kooyong. Melbourne. Two Queenslanders, R. Laver and R. Emerson, are Australia’s main hopes in the defence of the cup. Queenslanders have already booked 2200 of the 10.000 seats in the Milton stands. The Queensland Lawr. Tennis Association secretary Mr F. Land, said: “There has been no initial rush on tickets such as there was in the first Brisbane challenge round in 1958 but the tickets have been selling at a very steady rate.”
