CITY JUNIOR COUNCIL

Indefinite Recess The Christchurch Junior Council has gone into indefinite recess. This was decided after a one-hour discussion in committee last evening. “This decision has been made in view of the decreasing membership, the lack of support from youth organisations and other groups, and the lack of finance,” said Mr J. W. Francis, tire member of the triumvirate who was chairman for the evening. “Our thanks must be given to the City Council and to the newspapers, which have wholeheartedly offered their services to us,” he said. The meeting was delayed 20 minutes until a quorum of 12 members was present. There was also one observer.
