WATERSIDER INJURED

Struck By Roll Of Wire

Mr Phillip Randall, a watereider, of 41 Flemington avenue, North New Brighton, suffered chest and lower leg injuries when he was struck by a roll of wire, while working on a railway truck at Lyttelton, shortly before midday on Thursday. Mr Randall was unloading from the Waipawa, which is berthed at No. 6 wharf.

After treatment at Lyttelton by Dr. N. D. Walker, Mr Randall was taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital and admitted.

His condition last evening was reported as comfortable.
