MEN ARRESTED AT PICTON

Alleged Breaking And Entering

BLENHEIM. Jan. 29

Two young men were arrested at Picton early yesterday, and appeared in the Magistrate's Court at Blenheim this morning charged with breaking and entering the Springlands service station on Friday night with intent to commit theft.

They are Graham Roy Ritchie, aged 21, a mechanic, of Lyttelton, and Roger Robert Hubert Matchitt, aged 20, a workman They were remanded in custody until Thursday. The police said that more inquiries were being made. Also arrested was a 16-year-old girl, who at the police request is being sent back to Christchurch
