U.S.A.F. PARTY’S VISIT

Survey Of Sites For Research ( N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan, 29 A party of United States Air Force personnel will arrive in New Zealand next month to see whether a suitable location is available from which the United States Air Force, in co-operation with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, could study aerospace disturbances and their effect on radio communications.

Announcing this today, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said the party would concentrate its surveys on the Blenheim-Nelson area, and if a satisfactory site was found, a useful co-operative research programme could result.
