INVERCARGILL, January 22 Superior fielding, pitching, batting and general tactics combined to givp the touring Australian women's softball team a 33-0 victory over Southland in the second game of its New Zealand tour at Invercargill tonight The Southland team had seven innings but failed each time to bring a player home.

Conditions were miserable A cold wind and heavy showers swept the field. The Australian pitcher, H Siemering, gave only one walk, and gained eight strike-outs. Her opposite. L. Sutton, gave eight walks and gained only one strikeout. Box scores were:— Australia: i 10. 17, 0,2, 0, 0—33.

Southland: 0,0, 0,0, 0,0, o—o.
