Communism
Sir,—Captain Starlight and many other pro-communist correspondents have never been to Russia and never lived under its military system so they can be excused from confusing facts with nonsense. Since 1940 Russia has subjugated 15 free, independent, and prosperous countries with a democratic outlook Can communism be liked for that shameful action? If we said that this iniquity is justifiable we would be hypcfcrites. Why have millions of people fled from communism to the West and not from the West to communism? Any news that reaches Russia from outside is censored and Russians are not allowed to criticise the Government. Why are people not allowed to leave Russia or her satellites whenever they wish? If this is Captain Starlight’s idea of freedom and a workers’ Utopia he can have it. —Yours, etc., FREEDOM IS INVINCIBLE January 17, 1962.
