Jubilee Celebration This Month ‘"The Press*' Special Service DUNEDIN, fanuary 16
The fiftieth anniversary of Dominican College. Teschemakers, will be celebrated during the last week-end of January The college was established in 1912 by the Dominican nuns on land totalling more than 100 acres and including the original homestead of the Teschemakers Taipo Hill estate, which had been given the order by the McCarthy family In that year, the first Mother Superior. Mother Mary Antoninus, and her community welcomed the first boarders seven in all Since then, some 1200 girls have received their education there.
This year's roll will number 140 girls. At the reunion, former pupils will see the recent additions to the school a swimming pool, and a new block of secondary classrooms. which includes science, homecraft and clothing rooms
Still Unconscious.—Frederick C Bodger the Christchurch tro'ting driver who was injured at Washdyke last Saturday, had not regained consciousness late last night. He is in the Timaru Hospital.—(P.A.)
