No Play In New Delhi

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW DELHI, Dec. 17. Rain prevented a prompt start on the fourth day of the third test between India and England today. England were 3 down for 256 overnight in reply to India’s first innings total of 466. K. Barrington was 113 not out, and E. R. Dexter 45 not out. The rain stopped at about 11.30 ajn., but patches of water remained on the pitch. The umpires decided on a further inspection in the afternoon.
