_The leader in the Banks Peninsula Cricket Sub-Associa-tion competition. Little River, drew with Le Bons on Saturday. Kaituna, which had a first Innings win against Walnul, is now second equal with Le Bons, two pointe behind Little River, After an excellent opening partnership of 127. Little River was all out for 204. D. Mason (59) and K. Howath (95) batted well tor Little River against accurate bowling by D. Masefield and P. Johnson.
After a slow start Le Bon* was forced to play for a draw, P. de Latour batting very soundly for an unbeaten 82. Walnul batted first and was all out tor 162 against Kaituna. M. Wright (60) and F. Fisher (51) batted solidly tor Walnul. N. Allen and E. Turner were the best of Kaituna'* bowler*. Kaituna passed Walnut's score with the loss of only four wickets. This was mainly due to to a very good century by D. Turner.
United gained a comfortable win against Akaroa. Paul Haglund (76) batted well for United and R. Harris (six tor 32) bowled accurately when it wa* Akaroa's turn to bat. Scores were:—
Kaituna 211 (L. Lanauze 17, D. Turner 101 retired. A. Gray 37, retired. G. Cooper 29; P. Fisher four for 48) beat Wainui 162 (M. Wright 60. P. Fisher 51, D. McPhail 22; K. Allen four tor 42, E. Turner five tor 46) by 49 runs.
Uttle River 304 (K. Howath 95, D. Mason 59; P. Johnson five for 53, D. Masefield five for 71) drew with Le Bons 156 tor six wickets (P. da Latour 82 not out, D. Masefield 17, N. Fisher 24 not out; J. Mathias two for
