Greendale Batsmen Struggle ~A , S P® U of bowling, which included a hat-trick, “by R. Morris of Kirwee United, was the outstanding feature in the Malvern cricket competitions on Saturday. Morris, in the match against Greendale, clean bowled 10 of his 12 victims. He took seven for 27 in the first innings, and five for 12 in the second. The Sheffield bowlers could not contain Darfleld, and 245 runs were added in 150 minutes. R. Gunne scored a fine 96; A. Wright was the most successful bowler in taking three for 53. Sheffield’s opening batsmen, I. Wright and L. Innes, put on 104 for the first wicket, and 210 were scored in 213 minutes. At stumps, Sheffield still had five wickets in hand.

South Malvern B fared reasonably well In Its first match of the competition against its own A side. The A’s made 228 before declaring with five wickets down. A.
