Spondulicks To Try For Hat Trick

WELLINGTON. Nov. 17. The feature of the last day of the Feliding meeting will be the attempt of Spondulicks to win bis third consecutive race in the St. Andrew's Handicap. the first leg of the T.A.B. double. Last month he won the Waipukurau Cup and on the first day at Feuding he prevailed in a close finish to the Manchester Handicap. On the latter occasion Spondulicks gave the impression that he would be the better for the race. He confirmed that view when he worked impressively on Thursday. Moy and Colchis, which promise to offer him most opposition, also did well in their final training, and in a capacity field luck in the running could play a big part in the decision. With the scratching of the early favourite, Starborough, the second leg of the T.A.B. double, the Colyton Handicap, bears an open appearance. , , , Master Luca, the only laststart winner in the field, makes most appeal. His success was at the expense of several good sprinters at Bulls three weeks ago. He has shown in training meantime that he has made good progress. , , . Of those which raced last week Advance General should be the improver. The weather has been mainly fine and the outlook is favourable. The track is hard and fast.
