Win For G. Cooke's Fantastic

Six Finns predominated in the entry of a high tide race edngUft'd the -Walmakariri Sailing Club at Kairakl yesterday morning, but it was the R class dinghy Fantastic which had the lut from its spinnaker on the runs against a strong current which won the race Fantastic was sailed by G J Cooke with C. J. Cooke as crew. It led for most of the way in fresh to light north-east conditions, and although handicaps favoured the Finns in the prevailing wind it won on handicap also.

One ot the scratch boats, G. Hobson’s Flntere, went over the course only six seconds slower than Fantastic, which was timed as the fastest boat around the three laps. Results:— Fantastic (G.
