J. Masson Wins Second Race

Fifteen P class yachts were among a fleet ot 3F which sailed from the Christchurch Yacht Club in races on the Estuary yesterday afterneon. They competed in the second race of the club’s Easter Cup series. A Mount Pleasant boat, M. Agnew’s Conquest, led th* Taurangas on elapsed time, but was placed second on handicap. M. Agnew's cousin, E. Agnew (Stewart’s Gully), returned second best time only 15 seconds away, but handicaps placed him further down on the list also. Results:— Chuckles (J. Masson). 18min, 3:31.45, 1: Conquest (M. Agnew). 3min. 3:43.30, 2; Kembo (C. Morgan). 3min. 3:44.53. 3: Revenge (E. Agnew) imin. 3:45.45, 4: Shrimp (M. Walkins), imin. 3:45.55. 5. Masson now leads in the series with 175 points. N. England, who did not sail yesterday, is second with 160 points, and E. Agnew fia* 75 points. There is ene saee left to sail to complete the series.
