VENEZUELAN FACTORY
The chairman of the Rootes Group (Lord Rootes) has announced that the group has purchased 100 acres of land in Venezuela for the construction of a factory worth £1 million. He said he had received telephone reports from New York that the Rootes American company was completely sold out of stocks of the new Hillman Super Minx and the Minx De Luxe. The sales tide had turned, he said, and the group could now look forwaid to bigger business in the United States and to appointing more dealers.
