Country Girl's Club*— “That women should be able to train as mechanics in the same way as men” was the subject of a debate between country girls clubs recently. The debate was won by a team from the Darfield Country Girls’ Club which took the affirmative. It comprised Misses H. Bedford. A Bedford, and E. Patterson. The team from the Avon Country Girls’ Club which took the negative was Misses B. White, J. Doak and A. Wedde. Miss Patterson was judged the best speaker.
