Engagement By Association
Several nurses from the United Kingdom will be engaged by the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association it was announced at the monthly meeting held recently. The association was having difficulty in filling staff vacancies with New Zealand nurses. Both the Nurse Maude Memorial Hospital and Averill House were full and had waiting lists. It was necesjary for the association to recruit staff as soon as possible. During the month the district nurses gave 4802 treatments to 507 patients while home aids paid 497 working visits to 164 homes. Hie laundry service delivered 2606 articles to 112 patients.
