City Supports New Scheme When the annual conference of the New Zealand Electrical Supply Authorities’ Association being held in Christchurch considers the reorganisation of the electrical industry today, representatives of the Christchurch City Council will support the proposals put to the conference by a representative committee.
Christchurch delegates were instructed to do that by the council last evening. The main proposal was the setting-up of an electricity council to co-ordinate the planning of the whole industry, both generation and distribution. said Cr. W. S Mac Gibbon, chairman of the electricity committee.
