House Damaged By Fire

The kitchen and dining room in Mr G. E. Stackhouse’s home at 39 Morrison avenue, Papanui, was badly damaged by fire on Saturday morning. Units of the Central and St. Albans fire stations answered a call at 10.19 a m When the units arrived the blaze had a good hold, but the firemen prevented the flames from spreading, and the rest of the house was onlv damaged by smoke The cause of the fire is unknown.
