LONDON STOCKS FIRMER

This week the London stock market brightened a little, but there was not much significant busmess’ ' transacted, -and price increases were chiefly marked in pennies. The downward trend which has been apparent since the middle of last week was partially stemmed. Sentiment was helped by a smart overnight rally in Wall Street.
Terylene Price,—Pr.ce reductions in terylene staple fibre ranging from 10d to 16d per lb have been announced by the fibres division of Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., according to the Australian farm journal, the “Pastoral Review and Graziers' Record."
