A 18-year-old girl student pilot, Diane Copper, won the award for the most improved beginner at the Gisborne Aero Club's inter-club contest on Saturday. Aircraft from Auckland. Napier, and Wairoa competed, although bad weather prevented some of the 25 planes entered from attending. An Auckland entrant. P Sharp, won an aerobatics contest, and three Wairoa contestants won the bombing, landing, and forced landing event*.—(P.A.)
