T.A.B. Figure £337,985
Investments with the Totalisator Agency Board on the three race meetings on Saturday amounted to £337,985 ss. This was made up of win-and-place bets amounting to £160,485 10s and £177,504 15s was invested on doubles. This year’s figure is £50,897 15s lower than the amount handled on the corresponding day last year when four meetings were held. The Matamata meeting this year was held last Friday. Details of betting at individual meetings on Saturday were : Wanganui On-course: £31,251; up £1847 10s. Off-course: £77,167 1 0s; up £24,176. Trentham On-course: £164,384 10s; down £7325 10s. Off-course: £228,141 10s; np £26,450 15s. Waimate On-course: £17,113 10s; down £493. Off-course: £32,676 ss; up £8049. Off - course substitutes, where required, on Saturday, were:— Wanganui: Sunset Gold, Trentham: Fairassan. Waimate: None required.
