Women Hold Reunion (N.Z Press Association) GISBORNE. July 2. Three women, whose destinies have been largely shaped by the musical comedy “Rio Rita.” a favourite with theatregoers 30 years ago, met in Gisborne
vesterday morning and together lived again many of the golden days. Holding their reun'on were Miss Gladvs Moncrief!, star o? the vaudeville show a’ present in Gisborne and many years ago the star of a touring production of "Rio Rita.” Mrs B. Adair, formerly Rita Quinn, of the “Rio' Rita” cast and Mrs W. C. Kohn, formerly Norma Redding. Mrs Adair met her husband when she vi«ited Gisborne with the "Rio Rita" company and later married him in Sydney
The wedding of Mr and Mrs Kohn was a true “footlirtU romance.” as Mr Kohn was leader of th. w'-<>vra in the show. an<* Vofce was a member of the erm piny.
