Canterbury Branch Holds Bali
Baskets of ferns and flowers made a background for pharmaceutical emblems which deeorated the Winter Garden on Saturday evening for the annual ball of the Canterbury branch of the Pharmaceutical Society, and the Canterbury branch of the Pharmaceutical Students’ Association.
The guests were welcomed by the society president (Mr S. J. Wilson) and Mrs Wilson. and the president of the Students' Association (Mr K. Nuttall) and Miss B. Robinson. They included the president of the Canterbury branch of the British Medical Association <Dr. A. C. Sandston' and Mrs Sandston; the president of the Canterbury branch of the Society of Accountants (Mr K. R. Jordan' and Mirs Jordan; the New Zealand nrestdent of the Chemists’ Service Guild <Mr K. R. Reynolds) and Mrs Reynolds; the president of the Canterbury branch of the Chemists' Service Guild (Mr H. C B. Moore) and Mrs Moore: and the vicepresident of the Canterbury branch of the Pharmaceutical Society (Mr F. K. Wardell) and Mrs Wardell. A floor-length sown of white French chiffon was chosen by Mrs Wilson Fashioned on Grecian lin*e with a full straight skirt and bodice gathered in a cummerbund. it featured two front floating panels of pale gold chiffon. The ball committee comprised Mi*W M O. freeman. A. Whiteford. B. Macintosh. K- Nuttan. S J. Wiaaon and 'W. 3. Wyatt.
