100 YEARS OF AGE
Mrs McKinnon, Of Titirangi
(N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 2 Surrounded by about 60 Jriends and relatives. Mrs Mary McKinnon, of Titirangi, celebrated her one hundredth birthday on Saturday. Mrs McKinnon was 'OO last Wednesday. Among the guests were Mrs M. Lloyd, Mrs McKinnon's 92-vear-old sister, and other relatives who flew from Australia especially for the occasion.
Telegrams of congratulations came from throughout the world. There was one from the Queen and one from the Governor-Genera! (Lord Cobham). Mrs McKinnon's advice to those who wish to live to a ripe old age is; “When you have any worries o’- ailments. forget them. Get out ; n ’he garden and wrork them off.”
