CANNED JUICES

Cook Island Cargo Arrives (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 23. The first large cargo of Cook Island fruit Juice reached Auckland from Rarotonga in the Moana Roa tonight. The consignment consisted of more than 10.000 cartons of concentrated orange juice. This is the result of more than three years of planning, and the cargo is expected to be followed by many more. Pineapple products will also come from the cannery. The Minister of Island Territories, Mr Gotz, has expressed his confidence in the new venture. He has been invited to attend a function in the Moana Roa on Thursday to mark the occasion. The canning of pineapple juice and crushed pineapple will be of great importance to the island of Mangaia. said Mr Gotz. The island can produce more pineapples than New Zealand could sell as frer-h fruit, he said.
