Swimming WELLINGTON DELEGATE

Mrs 1. Le Cren Welcomed

Mrs 1. V. Le Cren was welcomed to last evening’s meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association's council as the new resident delegate for Wellington Mrs Le Cren succeeds her late husband Mr K. F Le Cren who was one of Canterbury’s leading swimming officials. Mrs Le Cren is the third woman delegate at present on the council. The others are the secretary (Miss Doreen Brown), who represents the West Coast, and -Mrs R. Ironsides (Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay) Mrs Le Cren also holds office on the management committee of the Canterbury Swimming Centre. Welcoming Mrs Le Cren to che council, the president (Mr A. J. Donaldson) said the association was now in the fortunate position of having women well represented on the council
