High Winds At New Plymouth (New Zeaiuna Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 30. Winds gusting up to 50 miles an hour damaged nearly half the aircraft which competed in the New Zealand model aeroplane competitions at the New Plymouth airport. Aircraft after aircraft, competing in the free flight international power class soared high in the buffeting gusts only to stall and nosedive with an impact which often broke wings or tailplane.
